SAF submerged biological oxidation technology is suitable for the biological pretreatment of micro-polluted water sources, the removal of BOD and NH3-N in municipal sewage and industrial wastewater.
SAF is an upward-flowing fixed-bed aerobic bioreactor. Its design ensures the strong growth of microorganisms adhering to the surface of the filler. There is no need to configure backwash pumps and fans. Its water head loss can be controlled within 0.8m, which has efficient treatment efficiency, The advantages of stable effluent, no complicated equipment, maintenance-free, small floor area, and low operating cost, are a simpler alternative process compared to the traditional biological aerated filter (BAF) process.
· Ammonia nitrogen and BOD removal can be done in one step in the same reaction tank, or they can be treated separately.
· SAF effluent can easily reach: BOD ≤ 5mg/L, NH3-N ≤ 1mg/L.
Widely used in biodegradable water treatment projects, such as pretreatment of micro-polluted water sources, advanced treatment of sewage and reuse of reclaimed water, etc.:
· Combined with the denitrification deep bed filter, the total nitrogen in the effluent reaches extremely high requirements
· Combine with existing biological treatment process to further remove ammonia nitrogen and BOD
· Combine with the primary treatment BOD plus sedimentation tank process to further remove ammonia nitrogen
· Combined with DeepBed™ deep-bed filter, the effluent meets the three-level treatment standard, which meets the high standard requirements for intermediate water reuse
· Ensure system performance
· Small head loss, deep filter bed, and significant effect in low temperature environment
· Not easy to block
· Maintenance-free, with a service life of at least 30 years
· Very few system operation tests, no need for troubleshooting or replacement parts in the reactor
· Small footprint, suitable for projects with limited area or future upgrades
